Water-flow Switches

Water-flow switches are fire protection system monitoring devices designed to detect the movement of water in sprinkler system piping and trigger an electrical alarm signal when flow conditions indicate sprinkler activation. Commonly used in wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems, water-flow switches provide early notification of fire events by sending signals to fire alarm control panels, monitoring systems, and building automation systems. These devices are typically installed on sprinkler system risers or branch lines and are used in commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential fire protection applications. Available in paddle-type and vane-type configurations, water-flow switches are commonly UL Listed and FM Approved for life safety system compliance.
