Duo strainers, also known as duplex strainers, are designed to remove debris from liquid piping systems while maintaining uninterrupted flow during cleaning and maintenance. Featuring dual strainer chambers and an integrated flow-diversion mechanism, duo strainers allow one basket or screen to be serviced while the other remains in operation. Commonly used in hydronic heating, chilled water, condenser water, industrial process, municipal, and mechanical piping systems, duo strainers help protect pumps, valves, meters, and other downstream equipment from damaging debris while minimizing system downtime.
